Compassionate Care is the Priority

Guided by empathy, expertise, and respect

LAUREN'S EXPERIENCE

Lauren graduated with her master’s in psychology with emphasis on human behavior in December of 2021 and passed her boards in 2022, becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She served the neurodivergent community in a variety of settings – home, school, and clinic – and at a variety of ages ranging from toddler to senior citizen. Lauren has worked extensively with doctors of physical therapy, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, feeding therapists, and psychiatrists, regularly collaborating and sharing clients.

Lauren recognized that waitlists for services were longer than were acceptable, saw her colleagues experiencing burnout trying to juggle clients, and saw within herself that the status quo was not acceptable. Lauren created Unmask Therapy in 2025 attempting to right a wrong that American privatized insurance companies have created.

PROFESSIONALS FEELING DRAINED

ND Adults:

We help ND adults transform their routine and mindset so they can get relief through effective coping tools, unmasking, and find an outlet from the neurotypical-geared world.

Adults of ND kids:

We guide adults of neurodiverse children to redefine their  understanding of their child’s (and their own) needs through compassionate care and education.

Adults of ND children frequently report to feel loneliness in their struggles, frustration with waitlists for care or lack thereof, and judgment from the community due to a misunderstanding of struggles or pity.

If you’re looking for community, understanding, and solidarity, as well as a solid understanding of the same tools professionals use in children' s therapeutic services, look no further.

Burnt-out Pros:

We help burnt-out professionals and BCBAs makeover their habits and perspective so they can overcome imposter syndrome, build better self-care routines, and get out of their rut.

You are worthy of the same consideration and care you provide to your clients, stakeholders, colleagues, etc. By giving our self-care routines the same consideration, understanding our habits (I’m looking at you, doom-scrolling), and adjusting our perspective, we will build a higher quality of life and sense of purpose together.

What is Masking?

Masking is the act of hiding certain characteristics or "camouflaging" with societal/social norms in order to avoid stigma, ostracization, or other social consequences that are typically negative, among other things. This is not just something ND individuals do; everybody masks to some extent in different environments. However, ND individuals feel a greater pressure (whether consciously or not) to fit in due to the greater risk for those negative social consequences, as we’ve likely experienced trauma from being our authentic selves. This can cause us to feel incredibly exhausted mentally and emotionally, and feel like we don’t belong.

At me ND you, we understand these struggles. We work on reframing mindset, using effective coping tools and routines, and working on confidence in unmasking- all specially geared toward each individual.
